Barnard's Star was formed in 1996 at Canterbury University, featuring Marcus Winstanley (Minisnap, Cowboy Machine), Nick Guy (Lytteltronics, Torlesse Super Group), Helen Greenfield (Mela, The L.E.D.s) and Tyrone Thorn (SwingingTastyBag). The band hit huge strides in their four active years creating genre-melding music with a dense, spellbindingly atmospheric sound.
